I first became aware of the significance and truth in this phrase fifteen years ago when I first discovered that I was able to capture a vision of life, beauty, emotion and the moment in a single photograph.

After being part of so many significant and important events in the lives of people that are near and dear to me I noticed that a photograph can often only capture part of the real occasion. By this I mean the feeling of elation, excitement, anticipation and sometimes anxiety, but overall the raw emotions that we so often feel when being part of these occasions.

In my own experience, I have been inspired by the work of artists and people who have the gift of reflecting the beauty of a special occasion, scene or moment. However, not many times have I been moved to the extent where I truly appreciated the magnitude of what was being portrayed.
